Important Update (November 30/2021):

An installation issue has been identified, and it is due to the fact that the zcash download parameters download url changed. The source code for our wallet needs to be updated, wallets need to be recompiled, etc.

In the meantime, you may download the zcash-params from here:

https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1gy3Xl-4TnS5jexWOHskdWRjqj4e39PIv

Copy these files to the following directory:

C:\Users\you\AppData\Roaming\ZcashParams\

Then continue with the installation process as usual:

We’re pleased to release the first official version of our branded desktop wallet for Windows. This software connects to the Action Coin Blockchain, and provides you with the ability to stake and transact ACTN on our network.

WARNING: As with most blockchain related software, this client is experimental. Use at your own risk. Always backup your wallet.dat file and private key in a safe location before making any changes!

System Requirements

  • Windows 8 / 8.1 / 10 (64-bit) based PC.
  • At least 4 Gb of free RAM (8 or 16 Gb physical RAM recommended).
  • About ~5–10 Gb of storage space to sync full blockchain (SSD drive is recommended)

Action Ocean is a native wallet for storing, sending and receiving Action Coin.

To install the latest release, download the executable from:

https://get.actn.io/ActionOcean.exe

Once downloaded, double click the executable to install the Action Ocean wallet.

If the Windows OS says the file is “unrecognized”, click on “More info” and then click on “Run anyway”.

Now follow the instructions and install the wallet. Proceed with the default install options.

Zcash Parameters are 1.6GB
Zcash Parameters are 1.6GB

PRO TIP: Before you proceed to the next step, and sync with our blockchain, you may want to consider downloading this blockchain data dump (1.7GB) from January 9th, 2021; it will save you a great deal of time! Simply download and extract the zip file to %AppData% >> Roaming >> Action and start the client as detailed below. If the Action\ACTN folder already exists, back it up to be safe!

If the Action folder already exists, back it up to be safe!!

After the installation is complete, you will find a shortcut on your Desktop. Use the Action icon to launch the wallet.

When launching for the first time, Windows may ask your permission to allow the wallet access to the Internet. Grant permission.

It could take several hours for the wallet to sync before you may interact with our blockchain. Synchronization progress is displayed as a progress bar.

The Action Coin Blockchain was 2.5GB at the time of writing.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If the blockchain download takes more than 5 hours, there may be a problem with one or more of your peers. Stop the program and start it again. Check your peers (go to Help >> Debug >> Peers and look for peers with very high Ping and Wait Times… they should be in the range of < 100ms) then check our Telegram channel to see if there are any other reported issues.

To find your new wallet address, click the Receive button, and then click the Request Payment button.

To export your private key, go to Help >> Debug >> Console, and enter the following command:

dumpprivkey <your wallet address>

Then copy your private key to a safe, preferably encrypted, offline location.

If you need to import an existing private key, go to Help >> Debug >> Console, and enter the following command:

importprivkey <your private key>

Then wait for the rescan to complete.

If you want to stake your coins, and you have a mature balance (any deposit/transfer with more than 100 confirmations is considered “mature”); go to Help >> Debug >> Console, and enter the following command:

setgenerate true 0

Start Staking

Now enter:

getgenerate

to confirm your staking status.

Staking Has Been Started

PRO TIP: Go to Settings >> Options and check Start ActionOcean on system login in order to keep the blockchain data always up to date!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not encrypt your wallet if you intend to use the Z-Send function. Your wallet.dat file may become corrupted!

That’s all. Enjoy being part of the blockchain revolution!

Always backup your wallet.dat file and private key in a safe location.
